Design
In addition to the functional benefits of a floor being a sturdy, durable foundation that withstands heavy traffic and is resistant to slips, design is an important consideration to complement the entire space. While one’s first interaction with a space is visual, the first physical contact is the floor. It serves as a foundation for your design and keeping your facility looking great. A Bona Resilient Solution floor renewal is a new yet quick and simple alternative to achieve your goal of updating a space or completely transforming it without the adding investment of installing a brand-new floor.

Affects of colour choice
Enhanced well-being and quality of life
A thoughtful colour concept, that considers daylight conditions, structural context, and usability criteria, has shown to improve workplace identification by over 50% among staff and reduce sick leave by about 30%.* Such outcomes are particularly valuable amid skilled worker shortages.
Increased trust and confidence
Using earth tone colours from the grey-green and grey-blue range for flooring has shown to project seriousness and credibility, particularly important in patient or employee discussions, without evoking a sense of coldness. This balance is crucial for maintaining a professional yet comforting atmosphere.
Improved employee focus and experience
Functional, pleasant room colours and light temperatures, mimicking daylight, can significantly improve work performance and concentration. Selecting appropriate floor colours that contribute to these conditions has shown to create a more productive and focused environment.
Colour Collection based on Colour Psychology
The Bona Resilient Solution Colour Collection was expertly developed in collaboration with Dr. Axel Buether, a preeminent authority on color and the pioneer of modern evidence-based color psychology. Unlike conventional studies confined to laboratories, Dr. Buether’s research is grounded in empirical data drawn from real-life contexts, ensuring that the findings are both practical and impactful. By incorporating natural elements into interior spaces, starting with the floor, colour can profoundly enhance well-being and improve physical health. With the Bona Resilient Solution Colour Collection, interior environments are transformed into tranquil sanctuaries contributing to increased trust and confidence of staff, while improving employee focus and experience.
Bringing nature indoors
The Bona Resilient Solution Colour Collection beautifully integrates tones and colors inspired by nature, offering a palette that reflects the serene and vibrant hues found in the natural world. Each shade has been meticulously selected and thoughtfully designed to cater to the diverse needs of commercial environments, making it an ideal choice for sectors such as healthcare, education, and retail. These carefully curated colours not only enhance aesthetic appeal but also create welcoming and functional spaces that promote well-being and productivity.

Case study
In May of 2021, The SGH Warsaw School of Economics embarked on a much-needed renovation of its gym. The renovation to the existing gym was desperately needed as the sport floor had become damaged, scuffed, and quite frankly dangerous to play on due to the worn surfaces. It was quite hard to even see the game lines anymore due to the wear and tear over the years. In addition to the floors, the entire space was renovated to include new basketball hoops and boards, freshly painted walls, ceilings, doors plus new lighting to modernize the entire gym space.
The overall gym renovation had originally been delayed for years due to the high cost of replacing the resilient floor. But with the innovative and new Bona Resilient Solution, the university no longer had to wait due to the significant cost savings.
