Have you spilled liquids on your floor?
If you have spilled coffee, wine or another liquid on your wood floor, follow the instructions for either lacquered or oiled surfaces below.

For lacquered floors
- Thoroughly wipe up any spilled liquid.
- Spray and clean the surface with the Wood Floor Cleaner and a Microfiber Cleaning Pad. Or spray and clean using the Wood Floor Spray Mop. See if either removes the stain.
- If you can still see the stain, you may have to re-lacquer your floor. We recommend you contacting a Bona Certified Craftsman for more advice and practical help.

For oiled floors
- Thoroughly wipe up any spilled liquid.
- Spray and clean the surface with the Cleaner for Oiled Floors and a Microfiber Cleaning Pad. Allow to dry thoroughly. Good ventilation or a fan helps. It may take up to a few days for the wood to be completely dry.
- If you still can see the stain, sand the surface with a very fine sandpaper and vacuum the floor. Then add oil to where the stain was. Be sure to use the same oil previously used on the floor. If you’re not sure and need help, we recommend contacting a Bona Certified Craftsman for further advice and assistance.
