The Perfect Trifecta for Optimal Floor Prep

Floor prep is one of the most important steps in any floor installation and refinishing process. Until recently, when a moisture barrier was needed on a wood subfloor, choices were limited to building paper or felt paper. In today’s fast-paced construction, building paper is a fairly ineffective deterrent for preventing moisture in the subfloor. For concrete subfloors, choices were also limited to using a tremendous amount of adhesive for moisture protection or an epoxy type coating that had very limited pot-life and toxic smell! Bona recognized the need for something more effective and profitable for professional installers and created Bona R540. Bona R540 is a one-component, roll-on moisture barrier that gives you the flexibility for use on wood or concrete substrates at the highest performance possible in just one coat*.R540-586x385.png

In addition, when paired with our silane-based adhesives, Bona R851 and  Bona R850T, you can guarantee the highest level of quality. Bona adhesives will not etch the finish, which means fewer call backs from homeowners. They also make jobs easier because they are easy to spread and will not cause arm fatigue. Lastly, you will save money because of the superior spread rates and not wasting material. You’ll have peace of mind knowing you’re using the highest quality products and providing a solid foundation for floors.
