Steps
Prep
Prepare the resilient floor by repairing any cracks. If renovating VCT or similar substrate replace any tiles that cannot be fixed by filling in cracks.
Abrasion
Wet abrade your resilient floor to remove old polish, finish, dirt and debris from the surface.
Remove Slurry
Wet abrading causes a slurry mixture to remain on the surface of resilient floors. Clean and remove slurry with a wet/dry vacuum.
*Note: Do NOT use an autoscrubber
Base Color
Apply base color to surface using a roller and pole.
Note* Color chips should be applied at the same time as base color
Color Chips
Apply color chips at same time as base color. Base color must be wet in order for chips to stick to floor. Apply color chips in an even and random manner. Bona has 15 color chip options to create custom combinations.
Clear Coat
Apply two coats of resilient clear coat to the surface to create a protective layer for resilient floor.
Maintain
Maintain your resilient floor by dry dusting and wet cleaning daily to remove dust, dirt and debris from high traffic areas.
