In a modern new build spanning 40 square meters of open space that integrates the kitchen and living room, the homeowners sought to rejuvenate their white oak flooring. Over time, the floor had developed unsightly scratches and a yellowish tint that detracted from the home's sleek, contemporary aesthetic. With a vision to refresh the space while making the most of the existing floor, the homeowners decided to renovate the white oak using trusted Bona products rather than replace it.

The renovation process was meticulously planned with the expertise of a Bona Certified Craftsman, Skånes Golvhantverk (golvhantverk.se), providing the homeowners with confidence and assurance throughout the project. Bona Natural Prime was applied to enhance the wood's natural beauty, followed by Bona Traffic HD RAW as the final coat to maintain its organic appearance while offering robust durability and protection. These products not only addressed the scratches and reduced the ambered tint but also brightened the space, highlighting the floor's natural grain and elegance in harmony with the modern style.

Upon completion, the transformation was remarkable. The refinished floor now radiated a fresh, contemporary allure that elevated the entire living area. This successful renovation enhanced the visual appeal of the kitchen and living room while extending the use of the existing white oak floor. By choosing to renovate rather than replace, they gave the existing white oak floor a refreshed appearance designed to remain a standout feature in the home for years to come.
