Bona Titanium technology delivering outstanding performance
The Bona Installation System is designed to provide outstanding performance and reliability for every wood flooring project, ensuring secure and long-lasting performance. With the unique Titanium crosslinking technology, the silane adhesives cure quickly and form strong, hard-elastic bonding strength, adapting to the natural shifts of wood for long-term durability. Each component is carefully tested to ensure seamless compatibility with the whole system, creating a foundation you can depend on.
Easy and fast installation
Bona Silane adhesives cure significantly faster than many competitors, achieving the desired shear strength from just 6 hours. By comparison, many adhesives often require 24–72 hours to reach the same level of strength, providing a faster, more efficient solution for your projects.
Superior lasting results
The advanced Titanium crosslinking technology ensures a secure and lasting bond that stands the test of time. The result is an adhesive that maintains its strength and hard-elastic properties over the lifetime of the floor, significantly reducing the risk of hollow spots.
Specially designed for wood floors
During 20 years, we have developed leading silane adhesives based on our 100 years passion for wood floors. This had made us into one of the world's largest manufacturers of silane-based adhesives for wood floors. Ideal for all types of wood, Bona adhesives are high-performing and compatible with all Bona’s solutions.
All Set in a Stroke
With built-in moisture barrier functionality across the Bona Silane Adhesive range, bonding and moisture protection are combined in one application. The result is a simpler installation process with reliable moisture control and strong bonding performance.
Easy and fast installation
Fast initial bonding and curing
With its advanced crosslinking speed, the initial bonding strength is exceptionally quick. This rapid setting and excellent rib stability ensures the floor stays securely in place throughout installation, delivering a smoother and more reliable process. Furthermore, the floors are ready to walk on from just 4 hours onward, with sanding possible just 12 hours after installation*.

Over 120 million square metres of wood floors installed world wide with Bona adhesives

Built-in moisture barrier across the range
With Bona silane adhesives, the need for a separate moisture barrier can often be reduced. By applying a thicker layer, you create an all-in-one adhesive system with built-in moisture protection. Fewer application steps save time and offer a more efficient and cost-effective solution.

Leaves no mark on prefinished floors
Bona Silane adhesives can be easily cleaned off hands during installation, preventing fingerprints or handprints, particularly on prefinished floors. If accidentally spilled on the floor, the adhesive can also be effortlessly removed. Simply wipe it away to maintain a flawless finish.

Balanced opening time
Bona Adhesives offer a balanced open time, providing the ideal window for precise floor installation. It provides sufficient time to position the flooring with precision, while remaining brief enough to prevent movement in the wet adhesive, ensuring a smooth and reliable installation process.
Superior lasting results
✔ Keeps performance year after year
✔ Absorbs natural movement of floor
✔ No hollow spots

Performance throughout the lifetime of the floor
The unique Bona Titanium Technology adds shear strength to Bona silane adhesives. The adhesive allows easy and smooth application with great rib stability and extremely well bonded wood floor as a result. The ability to absorb movement between the floor substrate under changing forces makes it highly suitable for today´s modern needs.
Bona silane adhesives retain their performance year after year, ensuring there are no hollow spots or adhesive degradation. This ensures floors remain durable and deliver high-quality performance throughout their entire lifespan.

Ideal shear strength and elasticity
Thanks to the Titanium technology Bona Silane Adhesives are formulated as hard-elastic according to EN ISO 17178. They enables a long-lasting installation with no compromises in terms of seasonal climate changes and the therewith natural movement, expansion and shrinkage of the wood. A balanced shear strength and elasticity ensures stable wooden floors without wider joints or deformations. Wood floors with Bona silane adhesives deliver long-lasting performance, stability and resilience.

Innovative Bona Titanium crosslinking technology
✔ Leverage four simultaneous curing processes
✔ Ensure strong, reliable bonding in tough conditions
✔ Prevent wood gapping and deformation

Four way crosslinking
At the heart of Bona Silane Adhesives lies the innovative Quadruple Titanium Crosslinking technology, utilizing four simultaneous curing processes to ensure the adhesive bonds with exceptional efficiency, even in demanding conditions.
By delivering consistent bonding, it minimizes weak spots and ensures a secure installation. The technology enhances the adhesive's resilience against environmental stresses, such as temperature and humidity changes, preventing wood gapping or deformation. Additionally, it ensures long-term durability by protecting against adhesive degradation, while maintaining stability and aesthetics over time.

Silane-based adhesives in comparison to PU Adhesives
PUR adhesives are usually harmful by the presence of – diisocyantes, which require specific training for craftsmen with EU. Depending on if 1 or 2 component systems, they are either very hard or plastic and can be partly very slow in crosslinking. Further PUR adhesive can harm prefinished surfaces if residues are not removed immediately.
The benefits of gluing down wood floors
Glued wood floors offer a perfect balance of functionality, design versatility, and long-lasting value, making them an outstanding choice for projects that demand high quality floor installation.
Endless design opportunities
The stability of glued wood floors opens a wide range of creative possibilities. Intricate patterns like herringbone or chevron can be achieved with ease, while inlays and decorative details bring a refined, custom feel. Pairing wood with materials like natural stone takes the design to the next level, creating interiors that are both timeless and uniquely striking.
Unlike floating floors a glued floors don’t require expansion gaps when installed in larger areas.

Reduces room noise
Glued wood floors reduce noise by firmly bonding to the subfloor, minimizing vibrations and preventing sound amplification. This significantly decreases room noise, resulting in quieter, more serene spaces, ideal for both personal and shared environments. To enhance noise reduction even further, an acoustic underlay can be installed beneath the flooring. This underlay not only reduces room noise sound but also minimizes impact sound, such as footfall and vibrations, for those living in the space below.

Lasting, still easy to renovate
Wood floors installed with adhesive are designed for long service life. They can be sanded and refinished multiple times, helping maintain their natural appearance for many years. Individual planks can also be replaced when needed, helping keep the floor functional and visually consistent over time.
This approach supports long-term use of the floor while offering practical maintenance options and flexibility throughout the life of the installation.

Enhanced floor heating efficiency
Glued wood floors are highly effective when paired with underfloor heating systems. By eliminating insulating air gaps, heat transfers directly through the wood, ensuring faster and more efficient warmth. This creates an inviting and energy-efficient space with superior heating performance.
