Bona Mega EVO is a next generation 1K waterborne lacquer for wood floors with a new state-of-the-art self crosslinking technology that activates when applied.
Suitable for commercial areas such as offices, small shops, hotel rooms, and as a premium choice for homes. The unique formula delivers fast curing with excellent resistance to scratches, wear, and chemicals. Bona Mega EVO’s smooth consistency offers outstanding filling and levelling properties. The unique self-crosslinking technology enables a fast return to the floor and short waiting times between coats. With VOC levels below 3%, the lacquer contributes to good working conditions with a low impact on indoor air quality.

Bona Mega EVO™ has non-yellowing properties, which means that the cured coating remains clear over time and does not amber like traditional lacquers or oils. The all-new self crosslinking technology is designed using raw materials that produce minimal odour during the application process.
No need for primer
Bona Mega EVO™ can be combined with any Bona wood primer to visually enhance the wood floor’s colouration. As Bona Mega EVO™ has insignificant reaction with tannins in wood, it is not necessary to use a primer.

Phasing out PFAS
PFAS substances are man-made chemicals that are used in many products such as non-stick cookware, food packaging, rain clothes, and firefighting foam. They are of concern to our health as they do not decompose in the environment or in the human body. Previously we have used them in extremely low quantities to improve the levelling properties of our lacquers. But in Bona Mega EVO™ we are phasing out PFAS with safer and more sustainable components.
Better indoor air quality
Volatile organic compounds (VOC) are emitted from everyday items, including natural sources. Exposure to VOCs can be harmful, so it is important to reduce the amount we are exposed to. Bona already offers products with lower VOC levels, and now with Bona Mega EVO™ we go even further. Having VOC levels below 3% fulfills the EMICODE EC1PLUS certification. This is the highest and strictest classification for indoor air quality and ensures that Bona Mega EVOTM complies with the most stringent health and environmental requirements.
