When aiming to create the ideal surface, one must pay attention to a whole lot. We have narrowed it down to three imperative steps - Texture, Colour, Protection.
Begin by considering depth. Decide what feeling you want to give the floor. Continue by looking into colour. Determine if it needs to be added or if the natural wood is good as is. Finalize by contemplating protection. Heavy traffic areas will mean one solution, while domestic areas will mean another.
Texture
Brushing
The Bona Power Drive Connect enables existing wood floors to be easily brushed, using the Bona FlexiSand 1.9.
It involves wire brush attachments which remove the soft wood between the hard wood, adding depth and texture to the surface. This allows a coloured oil to settle in the grain, creating a two-dimensional effect while enhancing the natural pattern of the wood.
