Can the Bona Microfiber Cleaning Mop also be used on ceramic and stone tiles?
Yes. Our premium microfiber pads can be used on all types of hard floors.
How long will my Bona Microfiber Cleaning Pad last?
Our pads are very durable and can be washed up to 500 times. How long they last for will depend on the level of dirt contamination on your floors and how often they are used.
Why are Bona Microfiber Cleaning Pads so expensive?
Microfiber cloths come in many different qualities. One big difference is the thickness of the fiber. Bona uses very fine fibers for more effective cleaning. Finer fibers are more difficult to manufacture and therefore more expensive. Additionally, the quality of the chemicals used in the manufacturing process also differ meaning a low-cost pad may have been produced using cheaper chemicals. All Bona pads have been designed for use on wood and hard-surface floors. When using them together with our cleaning and maintenance products you can be sure to get great results. And they can be washed up to 500 times meaning you will be able to use them time and time again.
How do I care for my Bona Microfiber Cleaning Pads?
Wash pad on warm or hot cycle with plain detergent
Air or tumble dry pad on low
DO NOT use bleach, fabric softener or dryer sheets
DO NOT wash with other cleaning rags/pads that have other cleaners on them
What does “rinse pad often to avoid streaking” mean?
If you are cleaning a larger area or several small rooms, you will want to take the cleaning pad off of the mop and rinse it out in your sink with warm water to release the captured dirt. Wring it out so it is only slightly damp and attach it back on the mop and continue mopping.
Is the Bona Microfiber Cleaning Pad intended for dry or wet use?
The Bona Microfiber Cleaning Pad is intended to be used with one of our gentle ready-to-use floor cleaners. This way you can be sure to get streak-free cleaning results.
Do Bona Microfiber Cleaning Pads shed microplastic particles during washing?
Our cleaning pads are made using the highest quality microfibers which shed fewer particles than the industry standard. Internal test results show lint loss of approximately 0.007% per wash in a lab condition, which is far below the industrial standard 0.4% per wash. To further reduce the level of shedding we recommend using a cool wash as hot water increases the risk and you may also wish to use a special wash bag.
Are Bona Microfiber Cleaning Pads bad for the environment?
Microfiber cloths are not bad for the environment if you use a high-quality microfiber, like the ones used for Bona cleaning pads. A good microfiber cleans very well mechanically and consequently reduces the amount of chemical needed. Our pads are very durable and can be washed up to 500 times which also means less waste contribution.
