The homeowners of this contemporary open-plan home, spanning 40 square meters, sought to rejuvenate their white oak flooring. Over time, the floor had developed scratches and a yellowish tint that disturbed the home's sleek, contemporary aesthetic. Looking to preserve the existing material, they chose to restore it using high-quality Bona products rather than opting for a replacement.

With the expertise of Bona Certified Craftsman, Skånes Golvhantverk (golvhantverk.se), the renovation was meticulously executed. Bona Natural Prime was applied to enhance the wood’s natural beauty, followed by Bona Traffic HD RAW as the final coat to maintain its organic appearance, while offering robust durability and protection. These treatments effectively minimized scratches, reduced discoloration and brightened the space - seamlessly complementing the home’s modern style.

The result was a stunning transformation. The refinished floor not only elevated the overall ambiance of the living area but also gave the existing white oak flooring a new lease on life. By choosing renovation over replacement, the homeowners extended the life of their existing floor, helping it remain a timeless feature in their home for years to come.
