Maintenance schedule
Depending on how much the floors are used and where they are located, the maintenance schedule for treatment varies. Below guidelines are approximate.
Recoat treatment: Remove scratches and scuff marks
When the top layer of a wood floor’s protective surface is stained or showing scratches, a recoat will effectively restore its beauty.
A restored surface can be achieved in a matter of hours without the downtime, cost or inconvenience of a full renovation. Recoating involves superficial sanding with Bona FlexiSand 1.9 and Bona Diamond Abrasives for a perfectly smooth surface, followed by application of Bona Traffic HD for outstanding durability.
Minimal downtime
Bona Commercial System enables you to restore the beauty and prolong the life of a floor, with less downtime and to a lower cost.
This unique and safer system provides the perfect surface in a matter of hours – so there’s no need to close down the business, resulting in convenience and profitability.
Sanding
Bona Diamond Abrasives ensure smoothness and speed, while attaining outstanding results. They're the ideal abrasives for recoating, by far.
The hardness of the diamonds ensures the highest standard of treatment before applying the final coat. Unmatched in thoroughness, they also last an average of 12 times longer than screens and other intercoat abrasive products.
Coating
Bona Traffic HD is a 2K waterborne lacquer for wood floors exposed to high traffic and extreme wear, and ideal for recoating of wood floors.
This is simply the world’s toughest lacquer. It allows for full traffic to be resumed just 12 hours after application, and was developed for application on large surfaces. Used in hotels, restaurants and airports worldwide, where short downtime is essential, it's a wood floor lacquer perfected.
Revive treatment: Restore dull and stained wood floors
This treatment is an effective way of keeping floors beautiful longer, bringing dull wood floors back to life in an instant.
Using the Bona PowerScrubber with the specially formulated Bona DeepClean W, a wooden surface is effectively deeply cleaned, so that even the toughest dirt, grime and scuff-marks are removed. The floor is then ready for a fresh layer of polish, maintenance oil or wax oil, depending on the type of coating.
