A totally new look for this 400m² gymnasium PVC floor was achieved using products from the Bona resilient system.
Gymnasium, Midlands
The vinyl school sports floor was renovated using Bona's resilient system. The renovation represented a saving of around 50% against the cost of a new floor and was completed in just five days.
After working through each process of deep cleaning, wet sanding with Bona Diamond abrasives, removing the sanded slurry from the floor and then neutralising with clean water, the surface was ready for the first coat of Bona Pure Colour to the centre section of the floor. Two coats of each colour were applied, followed by sports line markings and a final transparent coat of Bona Pure to seal the surface.
School, Germany
The rubber floor and stairway in this school was 10 years old and very worn. Thanks to recoating with products from the Bona resilient system, the surface now looks as good as new at a fraction of the cost of replacing with new. Just look at the difference between our before and after pictures!

Recoating

But the innovative Bona Recoating Treatment is a fast and effective alternative for restoring them to their original beauty, and prolong their life. From vinyl, PVC and linoleum to rubber, Bona's unique and safe treatment provides the perfect surface, with minimal downtime.
Step 1
Apply Bona PowerRemove R with a mop, to dissolve the previous protective coat.
Step 2
Sand the floor.
Step 3
Remove excess material, and neutralise the floor with Bona PowerScrubber and clean water.
Step 4
Use a roller to apply Bona Pure clear lacquer, or Bona Pure Colour.
Protecting
Over time, repeated cleaning can eventually diminish the look and quality of any surface. A new protective layer restores the original lustre, and prolongs the life of the floor. Safe, quick and easy, Bona’s protective treatment restores floors, bringing them back to life in no time. For heavy-traffic areas, the Bona Protecting Treatment is recommended after deep-cleaning.
Step 1
Apply Bona Remove R with a cleaning pad.
Step 2
Scrub the floor.
Step 3
Neutralise the floor, using Bona PowerScrubber with clean water.
Step 4
Apply 1-2 coats of Bona Shield R, for protection.
Deep-cleaning

An application of Bona PowerRemove R, used with the Bona PowerScrubber completely revitalises resilient floors. The reward is an enhanced appearance with a newly-restored freshness - and all without the need for renovation or downtime.
Step 1
Make sure that the right brushes are used.
Step 2
Mix Bona Remove R according to the instructions.
Step 3
Clean the floor, covering the area in a linear fashion (straight lines).

Remove dust and loose dirt, using a vacuum cleaner or a Bona Dusting Pad.
