The lacquer gave durability and a light tone to the maple floors in the cafeteria, entrance hall, gift shop and office buildings, in accordance with the architect's wishes and the responsibility for the environment.

House of Sweden is the Swedish embassy in Washington D.C. The maple floor was glued, sanded, and filled with coloured putty produced especially for this project. The floor was then coloured with Bona Create Pure and varnished with Bona Prime Intense and two layers of Bona Traffic Matt.
