Our rich history:

The difference goes back to our roots

Bona’s heritage has shaped who we are today. What started in 1919 as a small family-owned grocery store in Malmö, Sweden –– that also made a protective polishing agent for wood floors called, “bonvax” –– has grown into a multinational company with a presence in over 90 countries.

BONA DIFFERENCE - VALUE

Sustainable savings one mop at a time

The Bona System is built to save you time and money. Our Bona Microfiber Cleaning Pads are washable and reusable up to 500 times -- a big difference (for you, your wallet, and the environment!) when compared to one-use disposable pads. The sleek, lightweight Bona Spray Mop cleans 40% faster than the leading competitor with an oversized mop head that makes it nimble and easy to use. 1 And Bona’s ready-to-use, rinse-free, streak-free floor cleaners mean no mixing or rinsing.

Efficacy is of paramount importance at Bona. We use the best ingredients to meet the highest standards, resulting in floor cleaners that are very effective without being harsh.

Did you know...

Not only are our floor cleaners super effective but the rinse-free, streak-free formulas don’t require a bucket of water. In fact, the Bona Spray Mop uses 97% less water than a traditional mop and bucket. 2

You can get 500 uses from one Bona Microfiber Pad, costing $8. The leading competitor’s disposable mop pad costs approximately 60 cents per pad (or more). Multiply that single-use cost by 500. That’s an overall difference of 292 dollars! 3

A mom plays with her children and dog on a hardwood floor next to a sofa in a contemporary living room.

"Like a Dream"

"Its been a nightmare keeping my floors clean with four dogs and two kids under five. I was so embarrassed by how dirty my house looked and I hated cleaning it with my old school mop bucket. This spray mop has changed my life. Its so easy and actually kind of fun to use. My floors have never looked better."

A brother and sister happily play a game of floor hockey on a hardwood floor while Mom cleans with a Bona Spray Mop.

"Effort pays off"

Our contractor directed us to installing red oak floors 23 years ago when building our house. At times, with 2 kids and several dogs, we wondered if that was a wise choice. Cleaned our floors today with Bona’s Hardwood Floor Cleaner and now we know we made the right decision. Floors are clean, bright and shiny - looks like it could have taken hours, but got 1200 sq. ft. done in about 35 minutes.

"Accessible and Easy"

"This made cleaning my floors easier than normal, which is helpful as a disabled woman. It’s so easy for me to switch between the different cleaning pads. I love that the mop is height adjustable. The microfiber pad has replaced my swiffer. It’s an excellent system for any home, but especially helpful if you have pets."
