O'Connell Center

University of Florida

Built at a cost of $14 million, the O'Connell Center is home to the 2005-2006 NCAA men's champions - the University of Florida Gators. It has become a multipurpose sports center, capable of seating 12,000 spectators and fans, covering more than 3.6 acres and containing 292,000 square feet.
 
Better known for its reputation, ESPN The Magazine dubbed it the "Scariest Place to Play in the Country" (1999-2000). It is also the site of sporting, entertainment, academic and business activities such as graduation ceremonies, concerts, Disney shows, conventions, business exhibits, conferences, banquets, NIT regional games and SEC and NCAA championships.
