Bona Certified Contractor Scheme

This course is only suitable for contractors who are already experienced in the renovation of wood floors. To achieve 'Bona Certified Contractor' status, contractors undertake four days of in-depth training in the form of two separate two-day courses.

Contractors wishing to become Bona Certified Contractors should initially contact a member of our sales or technical team on 01908 525 150 who will provide more information about the syllabus, costs and course dates.

Part 1 - 2-day sanding and sealing

A two day intensive course presented at Bona's HQ in Milton Keynes.  The course, presented on two consecutive days, covers in detail Bona's approach to all aspects of wood flooring installation, from sub floor preparation through sanding, filling, finishing and staining to the maintenance requirements for the various types of finsh used.  This course is mainly practical but includes a short written test.  Refreshments and lunch are provided on both days.

Part 2 - 2 days sub-floor prep and installation

This two day course is delivered for Bona by our partners, Floorskills UK, at their dedicated training centre near Birmingham. The course, presented on two consecutive days, focuses purely on the technical and practical aspects of installing different types of wood flooring.  Day one concentrates on sub floor preparation and day two covers the installation of both solid (bonded) and engineered (floating) floors.
