Copenhagen Airport in Kastrup, Denmark, is the largest airport in the Nordic countries and the third-busiest airport in Northern Europe, with over 30 million passengers in 2018. Opening in 1925, it was one of the first civil airports in the world.
The airport consists of 104 000 m2 of oiled hardwood floors, which are glued-down Jatobá, Merbau, Wenge, as well as some Oak and Ash. The oldest floors are from 1966, and they are continuously repaired and renovated. Copenhagen Airport takes much pride in their stunning floors, and they are cared for in a systematic and meticulous manner.
Together with Bona and Scandinova in Copenhagen, a program to protect and beautify the floors has been worked out. A professional airport maintenance crew revives parts of the floors, using the Bona System, every single night.
For cleaning purposes, Bona Cleaner, Bona Deep Clean Solution and Bona PowerScrubber are used. For protection and restoration purposes, Bona Care Oil, Bona Craft Oil and Bona FlexiSand are used.
