American Airlines Arena, Miami, FL

American Airlines Arena, home of the 2006 NBA Champion Miami HEAT, is located in downtown Miami, FL along Biscayne Bay. Built in 1999, American Airlines Arena can be configured five ways to seat between 3,000 and 20,000 people and adapt to a variety of events, such as: concerts, family events, Broadway-style stage shows, WWE Royal Rumble, Disney on Ice and many others. It was also the site of the 2004 and 2005 MTV Video Music Awards, and will host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball championship in 2009. American Airlines Arena includes a multiple purpose practice court and an unusual scoreboard that changes colors to suit the atmosphere.

Bona All Court Polyurethane provided the floor with an extremely tough, high build gloss finish with a light amber color to enhance the natural color of the wood. Bona Sport Seal added a build layer to prevent the finish from penetrating, and Bona CourtLines was used for the easy blendability of the vibrant reds and yellows in the Miami HEAT logo.
