“With a patented new technology to vacuum up wood dust during floor sanding, we help the customer to not only preserve the environment but to also save time. Sanding wood floors has always been associated with lots of dust, and a great deal of work used to be needed to cover everything in the room to prevent it from becoming dusty during the sanding. Afterwards, the protective plastic had to be removed again. When the contractors now use the Bona Dust Care System this time-consuming preparatory and follow-up work is no longer needed,” related Kerstin Lindell, CEO at Bona.
Nor does the contractor need to jeopardise his health during sanding, and worrying about the growing problem with allergies are now unnecessary for booth floor installers and owners. Measurements show that Bona’s Dust Care System exhaust better and cleaner air quality that found in the room before starting the sanding.
“To date Bona has sold about 1300 units of this Bona Dust Care System,” says Kerstin Lindell. According to recent estimates, there are currently about 75 000 floor installers worldwide who sand about 400 million square meters of wooden floors – so there is thus a huge need for this innovation.
The need is therefore large, but knowledge about the solution remains low. Thus, Bona has now produced informational materials for both floor sanding professionals and their customers. Private persons, property owners and owners of restaurants, stores, museums etc. have much to gain from having their floors sanded with a dust-free system.
“By requesting dust-free sanding, there is no need for covering and protecting furnishings in homes of businesses,” says Kerstin Lindell. This means a faster return to a fresh home, and for companies such as clothing stores or restaurants, a much speedier return to operations than ever before – which saves a lot of money!
With this modern technology, which is adapted to today’s environmental requirements, Bona is counting on dust-free sanding becoming the standard in the sanding industry.
